CashSheet is for everyone
We are committed to making CashSheet accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. Accounting software should not be a barrier — it should be a tool that works for everyone, regardless of ability.
Our standards
We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This means we work to ensure that CashSheet is:
- Perceivable: Information and interface components are presented in ways that all users can perceive — sufficient colour contrast, text alternatives for images, and clear visual hierarchy
- Operable: All functionality is available via keyboard navigation. Interactive elements have visible focus indicators. No content requires time-limited interaction.
- Understandable: Text is readable and predictable. Forms include clear labels and helpful error messages. Navigation is consistent across pages.
- Robust: Content is compatible with current and future assistive technologies, including screen readers, magnifiers, and voice control software
What we have done
- Semantic HTML throughout the application — proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and ARIA labels where needed
- Colour contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG AA requirements
- Keyboard-navigable forms, menus, and interactive components
- Screen reader-friendly tables, charts, and financial data displays
- Skip navigation links for efficient keyboard browsing
- Responsive design that works across screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200%
Ongoing work
Accessibility is not a one-time project — it is an ongoing commitment. We regularly audit our interface, test with assistive technologies, and incorporate accessibility into our development process from the start.
